Microsoft MS-DOS 2.11 [DEC Rainbow]
This archive contains a 400k disk image of MS-DOS 2.11 for the DEC Rainbow. Important: This disk will not work on an IBM PC or compatible. The DEC Rainbow used a very non-standard 400K single sided, 80 tack, 5.25" format. Use IMGDISK 1.18 to write it to a floppy disk. To write these you must use a double density (360k) disk in a high density 1.2mb drive.

This is the system disk provided with Columbia Data Products 1600 desktop and VP portable computers. It contains Microsoft DOS 1.25, rebranded as "The CDP Personal Computer DOS Version 2.11". The disk also contains Microsoft Basic-86 V5.21 ("86-DOS Version 12-Feb-82"), and BASICA 1.90 ("Columbia Data Products BASICA Version 1.90 May 18, 1982"), and Microsoft MACRO Assembler 2.04. This archive contains one 320K (DSDD 8-sector) disk image in ImageDisk, Teledisk, CopyIIPC+Snatchit, and raw format. Note that this is a DOS 1.x formatted disk, therefore utilities like WinImage will not open it. Note: BasicA requires a CGA color compatible display. The CDP MPC 1600 was the first IBM PC hardware compatible clone. Although this software is intended for CDP computers, it also works on IBM PC and other hardware compatibles.

Microsoft Multiplan was an early 8-bit spreadsheet application for CP/M and MS-DOS with ports to numerous other platforms in the early 80s. Initially it competed against VisiCalc and later Lotus 1-2-3. A companion product, Microsoft Chart, provided graphing support. Multiplan was never ported to Windows, where it was replaced with Microsoft Excel. Excel also replaced Multiplan on the Macintosh platform. This is the second IBM OEM release (The first being 1.00). IMPORTANT! This software is copy protected, and no unprotect is known to exist.
