From the back of the box: "Humanity has begun colonizing the stars. The Santa Maria, your colony ship, has set a course for a new star system. Unfortunately you encounter a "cosmic string". The interaction with your engine creates a wormhole and you are flung into an unknown galaxy. BUT the galaxy is home to non-human races.
