Yoot Tower 1.0
Spiritual successor to the Maxis simulation game, SimTower. The creator of Yoot Tower, Yoot Saito, actually worked on SimTower, but for whatever reason Maxis did not pick up Yoot Tower for distribution. Sega acquired the publication rights for North America. The 7z file contains the contents of the installation CD. Simply run the executable to install and play the game. It will complain about not being in 256-color mode, but will run perfectly fine anyway.

This game was originally developed in 1985 by Elmer Larsen and published by Stone & Associates. The version here is 2.2 and it is dated 1990 (though I'm not sure what they added to the game, nor where I can find a copy of the original 1.0). Also for some reason the copyright goes to Nighthawk Computing, though I don't know why (unless Stone & Associates later became Nighthawk Computing, or else Elmer Larsen ended up starting his own software company). Well this game is simply an old DOS edutainment math game for very young kids (like 5 to 7 age range I'm guessing).

Licensed Ys II "remake", loosely based on the Ys II anime "Castle in the Heavens." Aside from the original Ys II songs, composed by Yuzo Koshiro - this game includes several exclusive tracks composed by SoundTEmP. Development of Ys II Special started in 1992, and the original plan was to include a full voice over, but due to lack of resources and storage - the idea was canned. I've been investigating this game and I have yet to find a release date. All I know was that it was released in 1994. If I do find out the release date, I will make sure I update this archive. This game was also included on the cd-rom for a Korean PC gaming magazine in 1999.

Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders
Zak McKracken is a tabloid reporter (and not a very good one at that). Based upon a psychadelic dream, Zak one day realizes that something is wrong -- Space Aliens are dumbifying the general public through the telephone system. Zak must stop this, but he can't do it alone. After finding a magic crystal (or some sort of crystal), Zak manages to get the help of Anthropologist, Annie, and her friends, Melissa and Leslie. Between the four characters (all of which you control), you can destroy the dumbifying devices and save the earth. Not too bad for a tabloid reporter.

Zenith ISA Configuration Utility 2.0
Zenith Z-400+ Series utility to set up Hard Drive parameters, floppy drive type and many settings that would be in a normal on-board BIOS. This utility is the only way you can set up a Z-400, especially if it has a dead CMOS battery. Replace the battery. Use WinRAR to unpack the .EXE file. Copy the file into a folder or directory and type 3344-1u.exe. The file will unpack itself in the directory. Copy the files to a floppy disk. Make the disk bootable or use a regular DOS boot disk first. Then, insert the Zenith Utility disk. From the files list, run CF.EXE. The Hard drive parameters should be automatically set by the program. Select your settings for your machine. The program will save the new config to the floppy and to nvram on the computer. Restart. It should boot with the drive now. Enjoy! Note: Confirmed to work on a ZU-425S 486 Desktop

Zeppelin: Giants of the Sky is certainly one of the slowest business simulators, but it's also one of the most historically accurate. You play the owner of a zeppelin company at the turn of the century; the 20th century that is. You begin your first day on January 1st, 1900 with only one zeppelin in your fleet. You must make strategic decisions in order to develop new airships to amass a fleet, setup offices in various cities, and maintain a thriving business. As time progresses in the world, all the major events of the past will surface and they will affect the price of fuel, gas, and ticket sales. As an added touch, the entire game is displayed in sepia in order to give it that "Old World" feel. If you're looking for a simple, fast-paced sim, you will not appreciate this game. However, if you want an unforgiving micromanagement replica, you may find solace in Zeppelin: Giants of the Sky.
